Online course provides fundamentals of network security principles
Learn about technologies used and principles involved in creating a secure computer networking environment in Introduction to Systems Security from Ivy Tech Gary. Authentication, attacks and malicious code, threats and countermeasures mail, web applications, remote access, and file and print services will be covered. Prerequisites include CIT 106: Microcomputer Operating Systems, CIT 121: Network Fundamentals, and CIT 225: Windows Network Operating Systems. 

Indiana Tech receives accreditation for distance learning programs
Since receiving accreditation to offer online degree programs earlier this year, Indiana Tech has increased its online course offerings to 25 this fall, 21 more than fall 2006.

Since receiving accreditation to offer online degree programs from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Indiana Tech has increased its online course offerings 84 percent this fall, offering 25 classes during three fall terms (10-week terms).
