M.Ed. for classroom teachers emphasizes "theory
to practice”
With the growing concern about quality education in America, teachers today
need an understanding of various learning styles and cultural backgrounds to
facilitate learning in a way that allows students to reach their full potential.
The Master of Education (M.Ed.) Online program from Indiana Wesleyan University
is designed for the classroom teacher seeking an advanced degree with an emphasis
on curriculum and instruction. The program focuses on effective teaching strategies
and places emphasis on a "Theory to Practice" model, taking what
is learned in the online classroom to your real-time classroom.
Special Education Licensure for classroom teachers
The Special Education Licensure—Exceptional Needs Mild Intervention program
from Indiana Wesleyan University is designed to meet the special education
licensure needs of state licensed classroom teachers. This license will enable

in a cohort group consisting of other state licensed teachers.
Taylor launches 2+2 program leading to AA in
Liberal Arts
The Taylor University Center for Lifelong Learning has designed a new 2+2 program
geared to help high school and home schooled students earn an Associate of
Arts degree in Liberal Arts online (adult students are also welcome). The 2+2
program gives students the opportunity to complete their first two years of
college online (earning an AA degree), then to attend the Taylor University
Fort Wayne (TUFW) campus to complete a baccalaureate degree.
Substantial cost savings can be realized by the student taking the 2+2 program
prior to attending TUFW—they are guaranteed a locked-in tuition rate
for the duration of their online studies and are guaranteed matriculation into
the resident BA/BS degree in the field of their choice, as long as they maintain
full-time status.
Nine concentrations in Liberal Arts are available:
- Christian Ministries concentration leading to a BA degree either in Biblical
Studies
- Christian Education, Pastoral Ministries or Youth Ministry
- Christian Ministries/Intercultural Studies concentration leading to a BA
degree in Intercultural Studies
- Business concentration leading to a BA in Business Administration, Management
or Marketing
- Criminal Justice concentration leading to a BA in Criminal Justice
- Discipleship concentration leading to a BS in Counseling
- Justice concentration leading to a BA in Law and Justice
- Justice and Ministry concentration leading to a BA in Justice and Ministry
