SMWC welcomes men into undergraduate DE programs
The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College WED program, which has been serving men
as special students pursuing individual courses or teacher licensure for more
than fifteen years, is now expanding undergraduate distance education and adult
education programs to include men. The Women's External Degree Program has
been renamed the Woods External Degree Program to reflect the change.

(Indiana VI) via distance learning. The program consists of six courses totaling
16 credit hours. Courses are delivered via the Internet, however, the first

sixth course is a one-credit-hour practicum.
To be eligible, individuals must hold (or be eligible for) an Indiana teaching license in Special Education including the areas of seriously emotionally handicapped, learning disabilities, and mildly mentally handicapped, or hold a Rules 2002 Mild Intervention License.

Three learning centers close in southeastern
Indiana
The College Cooperative Southeast (CCS) has closed the doors on three learning
centers—Fortville, located in the Mount Vernon HS; Batesville, located
in the Batesville HS; and Rising Sun, located in the Rising Sun HS. Learners
in need of a new location can find one by looking on the ICN Web Site, which
lists all learning centers by county and by city.
Distance/on-campus registration dates
differ
Registration for the fall 2005 semester is underway,
with more thanthree thousand courses in the ICN course catalog. If you
are planning to register for classes this fall, be sure to check the registration
dates on the ICN Web site, because registration dates for distance classes
do not always coincide with those of on-campus classes.
